What is CFK_Art Fund?

The CFK_Art Fund, launched in October 2022 under the parent company Coming From Kalaw (CFK), is a dynamic nonprofit initiative based in Kalaw, Southern Shan State, Myanmar. Dedicated to making art education accessible to all children, regardless of socio-economic background, our guiding belief is simple yet powerful: “Art Education Should Be Accessible.” 

With the loyal support of donors, dedicated artists, parents, and community members, we aim to inspire creativity, foster moral education, and encourage an appreciation of the region’s rich cultural heritage. By instilling authenticity and social values from a young age, we empower youth to overcome social challenges, express themselves, and thrive within their communities.

How do we operate?

Sources of insight and development: We gather valuable feedback through parents’ meetings, implement a Training of Trainers (TOT) program, and conduct research. We also engage in discussions with experts, artists, and consultants to continuously refine our approach.

Our internal team conducts research on children, classes, and teachers. We assess class effectiveness through grading systems, observations, and by gaining insights into child psychology to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.
