Yeinn Kham’s First Solo Exhibition: “Eyesight”

Yeinn Kham uses her unique art to express openly shares her personal life story and experiences.

This exhibition brings together both new works
and ideas she has long wanted to explore. Acrylic
paintings from 2015 appear alongside recent
canvases, sculptures, and mixed-media pieces,
showing how her practice has grown and evolved.
Continuity and change exist side by side, reflecting
her openness to experimentation while staying
true to her artistic vision. Her work tells the story of
her own journey, while also embodying the belief
that creativity can give back to society.

Artist Yeinn Kham, an artist currently based in Kalaw, creates her work using various mediums beyond traditional painting. Having drawn since childhood, her art is distinctive due to a rare eye condition that affects her vision.

Threadwork, ornaments, and
handcrafted accessories add personal touches,
sharing beauty with others while weaving new
ideas into her practice over the past decade.

A striking feature is the series of works without
eyes, bold pieces that express the drive to keep
creating, even in darkness. Experiments with resin,
including resin-eye paintings and sculptures,
transform absence into discovery, opening new
paths of perception.

Through this first solo exhibition, Yein Kham
shows that art is not just about making something
new; it’s about following your deepest desires and
leaving behind meaningful traces in the world.
