TASTE: Session 03

What happens when a chef and an artist work together? For TASTE Session 03, Chef Orng isn't simply creating dishes inspired by paintings. This time, he works alongside Khin Zaw Latt, an artist whose practice is shaped by careful observation of everyday life. For more than two decades, Khin Zaw Latt has found inspiration in places and people we often overlook, street vendors, neighbourhoods, children, familiar landscapes, and the quiet rhythm of daily life. His work reminds us that the ordinary can become extraordinary when we take the time to look a little closer. Rather than focusing on individual artworks, this session explores the artist's way of seeing. What catches his attention? Why do certain colours, places, and memories stay with him? How does everyday experience become a painting? Each course follows that journey, bringing together food and art through observation, conversation, and shared experience. This isn't a menu that explains the art. It's a shared experience where food and practice move alongside each other, open, present, and not fixed.
