TASTE “A Curated Dining Experience Inspired by an Artist’s Life & Practice” ECHO Dinning × Coming From Kalaw (CFK) Session 04 — Htein Lin TASTE is an intimate dining experience by ECHO Dining and Coming From Kalaw (CFK), bringing food and art together through lived experience. Rather than explaining artworks through words, each session invites guests to encounter an artist’s world through taste, rhythm, atmosphere, and conversation. We collaborate with ECHO because its approach to food goes beyond the plate. Chef Orng and his team cook with care, memory, and intention, making food an integral part of how each artist’s story is interpreted and experienced. For Session 04, we turn to the life and practice of Htein Lin, a multidisciplinary contemporary artist whose work spans performance, writing, music, installation, and painting. Artwork on memories, encounters, and observations that have shaped his life and practice, this session brings together moments from his artistic journey in a way that can be experienced around the table. This is not a formal artist talk or a course-by-course explanation of the artworks. Instead, each course offers a point of connection between art, food, and lived experience, inviting guests to discover their own associations along the way. TASTE is an ongoing series featuring a different artist in each session, with CFK’s curatorial approach and ECHO’s storytelling through food at its core.
